    2020 Trees Atlanta Canopy Conference

    hosted by Trees Atlanta

Fighting Climate Change with Urban Forests

Climate change challenges are amplified in urban areas due to the dynamics of higher populations, density, and development. Cities can and are using a very local resource -- trees -- to fight climate change.

Our featured speakers include USDA Forest Service data scientist Dr. David Nowak, environmental cardiologist Dr. Aruni Bhatnagar, and President of Arbor Day Foundation Dan Lambe. Panelists from partner organizations will address climate change impacts in Atlanta, effect of urban forests as natural infrastructure, and local projects using trees a priority components.
