    AERIAL RESCUE TRAINING

    The course is designed to teach work positioning and rescue techniques used among arborists and other high-angle workers while responding to emergency situations. All levels of climbers and aerial rescuers, experienced and non-experienced, looking to increase their technical knowledge and skills as it relates to access, positioning, climbing and rescue systems are encouraged to attend.  Participants are  required to bring personal protection equipment and their regular climbing gear.   The course is limited to 15 participants.

    Participants will learn:

    • Rescue, readiness and reality
    • Risk assessment, scene management and first aid
    • Self-rescue working at height in canopy
    • Scenario identification and injury extent/severity evaluation
    • Climber extrication, rescuer ascent and work positioning
    • Common tree rescue scenarios
    Registration fees:  $250 member/$275 non-member. To be eligible for the member rate, you must be an active member of either Trees SC OR the Southern Chapter of ISA.

    ISA CEU's available.
